Stacy Brown--- President of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau
Stacy has been President of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau for over 11 years and has more than 14 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. She is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in marketing and minor in management.
Kelly Wells — Vice President of Sports and Tourism Marketing, CDME, CSEE
Since 2001, Kelly has overseen and directed Sports and Tourism Projects for Shreveport-Bossier and Caddo/Bossier Parishes and North Louisiana. His main objective is to work with numerous local, state and national organizations to strengthen the Shreveport-Bossier tourism industry. Kelly holds a B.A. in Psychology from East Texas Baptist University and a Masters in Industrial Psychology from Centenary College in Shreveport. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from Centenary College.
Sheila Norman — Administrator for Sports/Tourism
Sheila joined the Sports Commission in May of 2011. A life-long resident of Shreveport, she earned her Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University Shreveport in Communications — Public Relations. Her experience in sports started in the front office for the Shreveport Captains, a minor league baseball team for the San Francisco Giants. From there she joined the front office staff for the Independence Bowl in Shreveport which featured an SEC–Big 12 college matchup.
Teresa Micheels -- Volunteer/Project Manager for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau
Teresa (Day) Micheels is a lifelong resident of Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1997, Teresa was hired by the Caddo Council on Aging and she remained there until September 2011. During her time there she held several positions including volunteer coordinator and was also the director for the local RSVP, a National volunteer program. She oversees thousands of community volunteers and works with many nonprofits and governmental organizations. Her community involvement includes the scheduling of tours at the historic Municipal Auditorium. Teresa Micheels has also been on the planning committee for many large events in the area including the James Burton Guitar Festivals, Kevin Costner's benefit concert and the Author! Author!, book festivals. Currently, Teresa sits on the Friends of the Municipal Board, the United Way Northwest Louisiana Volunteer Center Advisory Council and is a State Commissioner for the Louisiana Serve Commission.
Suzy Sanchez — Sports Intern
Suzy joined the Sports Commission in May of 2011 as an intern. Graduating in May 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in management from Louisiana State University Shreveport she plans to pursue a Master’s degree in health administration in the fall. Coming from a background in Olympic style weightlifting, Suzy has received numerous awards and achievements most notably making the 2011 World University Weightlifting Team and winning the gold medal in the 48kg weight class at the 2011 National University Championships.
Brandy Evans - Vice President of Communications for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau
Brandy Evans has been with the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau since January 2001. She started as public relations specialist and was promoted to vice president of communications in 2003. She is passionate about growing tourism and raising visitors’ and the community’s pride in Shreveport-Bossier, Caddo and Bossier Parish as a premier tourist destination. Before joining the tourist bureau, Brandy was an education reporter for The Times of Shreveport. She is originally from Los Angeles, California and has been a proud resident of this community since 1998. She currently serves on the Louisiana Tourism Development Commission as appointed by the Lt. Governor. She has served on the board of the YWCA, Downtown Shreveport Unlimited and the Shreveport-Bossier Ad Federation.
Chris Jay - Public Relations and Social Media Manger for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau
Chris Jay is a lifelong resident of Louisiana, having lived in Springhill, Natchitoches, and Shreveport-Bossier. A graduate of Centenary College and an alumnus of the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts, he possesses a decade of professional experience in writing, public relations, and social media.
