Sara Nelms is a Shreveport native. She is a graduate of Captain Shreve High School and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Sara has previously served as the Director of Sales and Events and the Sales Manager for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission. Sara also has sales and marketing experience from her time at the Shreveport Convention Center and the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium. She has worked on hundreds of events and concerts in the Shreveport-Bossier area with over eight years in the industry. She currently serves on the Young Professional Initiatives Board, Independence Bowl Foundation Board, and as Chair for Team Louisiana Board.
Sara resides in Shreveport with her husband, Russell and their two dogs, Troy and Roxy.
